For those in Illinois, the deadline to register to tomorrow (Jan 8th, 2008).
1) Voters do not have to be members of a party to vote in the party's primary election. Upon entering the polling place, one asks either for a Republican or Democrat ballot. One may not vote in both.
2) Illinois is a "loophole" primary. This means that voters will get two ballots or the ballot will be in two parts. Voters opting for Ron Paul must also select the delegates who support him.
3) The Illinois Primary election is on February 5.
