OK, I wanted to inspire us all in a simple but effective way. So this is now the official :D "I put up a Ron Paul sign" thread.

Post your photos of Ron Paul signs that YOU and YOU ALONE have put up. No taking photos of other people's signs.

I put up a sign yesterday. I am going to take a piccy of that right now and put up at least one more on a round-about. :)

So I'm AFK (away from keyboard) for a bit to go do that. How about you go do it too and come back here and paste your photos.

RULES:

Ill get some pics from outside my hosue by the road I put up on my property, and Ill be putting up a sign on a piece of propert I have on a main road where its very small but thousands of cars pass by every day, and you're sure to see a large RP sign. will be awesome!

I have a bunch of small button sized stickers all over the city.

Bathroom mirrors, store check out lines right under the credit card thing, newspaper boxes, gas pumps, anything I can slip a sticker out of my wallet and discreetly place in a high traffic area.

I've put 50+ stickers on every stop sign at the entrance to neighborhoods and in shopping centers.

I've put up 8 3x8ft Ron Paul signs on overpasses over Route 1(major highway in delaware, second only to I-95)

I've put one over I-95

I have several more to put up this week, and im making wood frames so i can stick them in the ground.

I've ordered 100 Ron Paul: Restore the Republic stickers, and I'm putting them on all metal telephone poles/electric boxes i can find.

One Bucket of paint goes a long way. The big banners cost about 8 $ to make, You buy the fabric by the yard at Joann fabrics.

Just made about 25 20 inch by 40 inch cardboard signs tonight for tommorow, total cost? about 12 dollars, & One hour of painting ( spray stencils )... Unfortunately don't have a picture ;o( Yet....

I put this up a few hours before the polls closed. I almost got my head bitten off by the insane woman who owns the gas station next door when I went back to retrieve it. The gas station was closed and I wasn't allowed to park my truck on her property for 20 seconds. :mad:

Like if I put a sticker that said "free candy" on a stop sign, I would be telling people to "STOP free candy" (man, who would want that?).

Sorry, don't have a pic with me, it's on some one elses camera. But when it snowed, i built a snowman and had him holding a Ron Paul sign on a wooden stick. He was a small snowman, cause the darn snow wouldn't pack, so I had to shovel all the snow in one place and pack it with the shovel, but it still looked pretty cool (at least I thought so.) I wanted to put a couple of 'em holing signs, but was running out of snow. Perhaps next time I get a chance with some good snow...

I've seen a lot of rural and suburban posts on this thread, so how about something urban for a change? I live in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles and my building is surrounded by parking lots (this is LA after all) that are filled to the brim with workday corporate commuters who work in the shiny skyscrapers here. Now, when they get out of their cars in the morning and get ready to go home at night, Ron Paul 2008 is looking down on them.

I finally put a sign up in front of my parents house. It's a bute for sure!

I hope this pulls in some people because of 2 reasons

1. They live in a very rich neighborhood and on a street that is an entrace to a big state park in Northern California. So every single day their are tourists and people jogging and what have you walking by. I hope that it will spark conversations as people walk into the park.
2. From what I know, there has never been 1 political sign in my area, period. California is normally left out in the cold :) when it comes to presidental politics. Its a small start, but he's catching on!

Yeah, we wouldn't want to tell people to "Stop Ron Paul!" :rolleyes: Maybe we could put "...printing money" NEXT TO stop signs (not touching them). I think that'd be funny. And of course, have Ron's name or picture on the sign.

The first step, is you need to host the image somewhere. Then you click the image link and paste in the URL.

Copy the url for the photo, and then click on the little yellow box (under the right pointing arrow above the text field) Paste the url in the pop up and you're good to go.

If you need a place to upload (host) photos you can use photobucket.com (http://photobucket.com/) or something similar.

I am now in the planning stages of putting a BIG sign, lighted if I can figure out how, on the second floor of my house. I think it will say....Google Ron Paul. VOTE!

A yard sign in front of a house is 1000X more powerful and influencial than one put on public property or on public signs. In local elections the signs in the public right of way usual backfire. Get your neighbors to put signs in their yards! Those are the only ones that really matter!

(car signs help too but signs in front of homes are the best)

This photo was taken by me, the sign was set up by me.

This 4'x8' sign is at the end of my driveway and is on one of the busiest roads in East Tennessee.

Those of you from the area, know just how heavily traveled Alcoa HWY. (US. HWY129) can be, at almost all times of the day. I have lived here for 5 years and have learned the hard way; that between the hours 6am - 9am & 3pm - 7pm a left-hand turn crossing this divided hwy. is just not possible.

Alcoa HWY. in my area, is a 4 lane from US. Interstate 40 that leads right into the Great Smokey Mountains.

My wife and I put up THREE yesterday in broad daylight. 2 were in great spots - on back roads in Monmouth County, NJ that a lot of people use.

THEY DIDN'T LAST 24 hours.

I freaking hate people sometimes. It's like yeah those cost me $10...

Yeah, ALL the ones I put up last week are GONE. I noticed Hillary one's in some of their places!! Someone today must have hit them with something. They were all crumpled up, crushed. In a few minutes I'll be going out to put back the RP ones.

Smear a coat of Crisco on those signs.
Use one of these dishwasher sponges to apply it.

The first two are on opposite sides of a one way bridge that is very busy. On the second one its hard to see because I didn't want to cross the street and worry about taking a picture

This is in St. Mary's County, Maryland. We put this banner up at 5:45 a.m. yesterday moring - and it was COLD outside. Its hard to tell, but the ground slopes down behind the guard rail, but the banner is actually about 10 feet up on those trees. We tied it up with line and zip-ties. Perfect location where its at eye level of drivers waiting at the traffic lights. Alot of traffic goes through there in the morning and evening rush hours.

Go to google, or to Ebay and search on Ron Paul window decal. You'll get the phone book. TONS of Ron Paul stuff there. This wasn't expensive either. I think it was around 20 bucks. And it got to me in only 4 days.

TruckinMike's TIP 'O the Day: don't forget to post yard sides in trees, on fences, on stakes, and on guard rails in the rural countryside -- along side major highways.

Believe it or not, even the standard sized yard sign is legible from the interstate at 70 MPH!! Please place MORE signs along these roads.

1. Place signs at least 5 miles or more from town. (50 miles from a town is even better, they are bored and just dying to read a Ron Paul sign)
2. Post far away from any other distraction (no other signs near by)
3. Net result: hundreds of thousands of daily travelers will read the signs!
4. Ron PAul will win!

Well, I have no photos because it's dark outside at 1-3am. I just posted 30 signs around Morrison/Jefferson, Colorado. It's snowing here, 10 inches since midday. Was actually pretty dangerous, but fun. Thought a plow was going to take out my car at one point.

I've been driving around with this for about a month.

Also...voted this morning! When I asked the polling attendant why the candidates who dropped out where still on the ballot, he just shrugged his shoulders and said, "I don't know why they did that."

Ridiculous. But perhaps it will work in Ron's favor...we don't know yet.
