I got to throw this up here in response to that. I just went through all the information on this website and it seems convincing:

I doubt it. I expect he's just trying to make it sound like voting for him is doing a service for the country. Typical neoconese.

My god... this guy is pathetic. He is not even going to get one-- if he gets one vote I will be surprised. He shouldn't even be up there running.

I don't know. That strategy doesn't work.

My guess is that he is using "serving your country" as a metaphor for voting for him.

Though it still speaks toward what is foremost in his mind - that voting for him (a pro-war candidate) is tantamount to serving your country.

Why enlist in the military now, just apply directly at Halliburton.

The draft dodgers might as well start moving to Canada now, or maybe somewhere farther, because it sounds like we are getting the million man military back along with a draft.

McCain is not the only candidate making that noise! At the ABC debate, at least 2 other candidates talked about expanding the size of our military, and I was shouting at Congressman Paul to ask them how they intend to do that when they are not meeting recruitment goals, despite lowering standards and raising the eligibility age.

The Democrats are also talking the same talk. Historically they have always supported mandatory government service, and do not make exceptions for the military.

I have two kids, and I will absolutely encourage them to leave the country if they get that letter.

There is no draft to dodge if it is unconstitutional.

I serve my country by protecting my life, my property and my family.

I owe nothing to our government other then a rifle in the face of any fed who comes to infringe on my constitutional rights.

Ok, I think that leaves 3 way race. Romney, Paul and Huckabee? Giulliani/thompson are no go, and McCain just buried himself in a big big hole.

I'll die before serving for this country.

If there is a Draft we must have a March of Washington
