Handed out slimjims, circulated petitions, and signed up to be a delegate. I also just made another order of signs to help decorate my home town with.

I am not doing enough.

Mailed out hand-written letters to independent New Hampshire voters. Then, I verified my registration to make sure they got it right.

Called into a talk radio show TODAY and corrected the host when he claimed that Ron Paul wants to "dissolve our military" and "surrender to terrorism".

I pointed out that Ron Paul wants to use our military to fight and win Congressionally declared wars, not to police the world and get into nation building, both of which are NOT traditional Conservative positions, and that Ron Paul has received MORE DONATIONS from active duty military personel than any other candidate.

The host started talking about the threat from Iran and I pointed out that Iran has NO ABILITY to directly attack the United States and the best they can do is support suicide terrorist attacks.

At which point I was cut off.

What can I do to help considering I am paranoid of talking to people in person and don't have any funds at the moment to spend on the campaign.

I have done almost all of my campaigning for Ron Paul via the internet and have inspired dozens of people into supporting Dr. Paul.

My question now is, I don't seem to have much of a pool of people left to reach online as the people I am networked with have already gotten word of Dr. Pauls messege.

My question now is, where do I go from here? I read this post and feel bad because I have not done anything other than the signing of a petition to get Ron Paul on my states ballot to help with the campaign.

My main issue is, I have a paranoia of talking to people in person. One of those people who can't look at someone when I am talking to them and do a much better job communicating with people via text.

I also have no money on hand right now as I have donated all of my extra money to the campaign.

So, where do I go from here? What can I do to help now?

Any advise is welcome.

Have you joined a meetup group? Help make signs, help put slimjims on doors/cars, just participate in a sign waving.

My social network is essentially zero, I have my family, my work, and my commute. Even still I've gotten one co-worker interested enough to say she'll write letters to South Carolina, and I went way out of my comfort zone and signed up as a precinct captain.

Just think of this as a chance for doing some personal growth :)

Got together with a group of 10 people this weekend and we canvassed a precinct for one of our meet-up members. Quid pro quo - they're going to come help in my precinct.

Today? Um...just drove my car with a giant Ron Paul Revolution decal on the back to go get my morning coffee.

This should be a daily thread. Better yet -- make a whole new forum for it. Sticky each day to the top. Can a moderator make that happen please?

Called my friend on his way to the Iowa caucus and converted him to RP before he went inside.

I got an angry text message last night saying RON PAUL NOT INCLUDED IN NH FORUMS? WHY? Welcome to the revolution, lol. He teaches voice at a college in Iowa so he'll be getting out the message to many young people and other faculty.

Ways to help online:

1) Spread the word via forums that are not Ron Paul related. Ideas that come to mind are other political forums, financial forums, etc.

2) Go to your city's craigslit and see if they have a politics posting area. Post some news there on a daily basis. Today, definately I recommend posting the McCain 10,000 years youtube video. People need to see this.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJWoGulgbec

3) Check out other meetup groups in your city, and join the ones in which you have an interest. Another good one is the newcomers meet-up, if there's one in your town. These are people looking for ways to get involved in their new community. Ron Paul folks are fun and give them a way to meet like-minded people. Put in a plug occassionally for your meet-up events. The march on MLK day is a great one because it's a holiday.

Any one else have other ideas? I'm of the opinion that there is still a lot the shy people can do online, in addition to offline door-to-door canassing.

Ways to help offline:

But also -- shy people -- you've got to get out of your box. I went canvassing for the first time and it really wasn't difficult. Use this script:

Hi, my name is ________ and I'm supporting Ron Paul for President in the upcoming elections. Have you made a decision yet who you're going to support or are you still looking for information to help you make a decision?

This helps you immediately identify people who are supporting other candidates so you don't waste your time with them. Just move on. There are a lot of people who are still undecided and want information. The message will sell itself. All you have to do is deliver it. Try it...sure there's some who are diehard McCain supporters that will say "I'm a big Obama fan" or "NOT Ron Paul" and that's fine. Thank them and move on to the next guy. We're just looking for Ron Paul supporters who might not know the political process and understand what they need to do to help get delegates. The goal is to find them and inform them. You'll probably never convert the McCain guy anyway.

I have a yard sign if front of my house, a bumper sticker on my car, and wear a Ron Paul hat everywhere I go. I hand out slimjims to anyone who'll take them, and talk to real, live people about why they should vote for him, and will be dragging a van load (or 2 or 3 or 4) of people to the polls on Feb 5th. I've given gift copies of 'A Foreign Policy of Freedom' to neocon friends and family members. And, I financially support the campaign and the blimp, but, since I've donated on-line, I don't suppose that counts?

And a bunch of other stuff...

I'm a shameless, one man, full-time propagandist for Paul.

What can I do to help considering I am paranoid of talking to people in person and don't have any funds at the moment to spend on the campaign.

I created an editable document (see here (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=77060)) that you can print off and distribute in your precinct. It's a nice way to get the word out if you don't have time to wait for campaign material to be shipped to you, and it is customized for your precinct. Sign up as a precinct leader at voters.ronpaul2008.com (http://voters.ronpaul2008.com/) to get a list of addresses in your precinct. Find your voting location and put it on the flier.

You will probably not need to talk to anyone. If there are a few people outside, all you have to do is say, "Hi, I live a few blocks from you over on ______ street and I'm going around in support of Ron Paul, candidate for president." They'll usually say, "oh, OK," to which you respond with something like "please read this over and e-mail me if you have any questions. The primary election is on _______." Them: "OK, thanks." You: "You're welcome. Have a nice day!"

The delegate situation is confusing to me as I would love to become one but I don't understand the stipulations.

This is why it is so important for you to FIND OUT! If it's confusing to you, it's also confusing to supporters of other candidates. The one who takes the time to understand will be the one who gets the vote in for Dr. Paul.

I have to admit that I don't do much offline things to support Paul. Living in Sweden it is kind of hard to reach a lot of Americans, so I asked myself who I could reach. Luckily, I'm studying English at the University of Stockholm and the professors at the English department are mostly English and American. So I've mentioned Ron Paul in a some of the essays and other types of written assignments that we have had. I've also talked with one of my lecturers after a seminar and I wrote "Google Ron Paul!" and "Ron Paul for president!" on a bit of empty space on our last big test (yes, it is probably not very effective, but at least it's something).

Great thread, by the way!

Talked to my boss for about 2 hours today. He's a democrat/socialist and thinks taxes are good, the government is good, free-markets can't solve problems and would leave people sick and starving in the streets, ect. But I'm fairly adept at using the 'ole Socratic method and getting him to question his assumptions. Probably won't ever change his mind, but he at least agrees that Ron Paul isn't a typical neocon and would do the right thing with respect to foreign policy.

If everyone just converts one single person counting from now, we would double up in size! Double!

Every little thing you do have impact. If you just go out now and make one more sign it will have impact. Even if you haven't done anything until now making that one sign could be so amazingly decisive...

Any advise is welcome.

Number 1. Focus on the message not Dr. Paul. So plaster your office with Ron Paul type messages at work, without actually showing Ron's name or picture. Make the message your own. (Have a copy of animal farm, 1984 on your desk as well as Freedom literature)

Number 2. Wear Ron Paul clothes with Ron Paul on it or shirts with the message that is no longer Ron Paul's message but your message, your point of view.

When people ask you about your shirt or messages/quotes in your office then talk about YOUR views. If they seem interested like your not a kook, THEN hit them with "and I am voting for Ron Paul because he supports what I support."

... dropped maybe 50 Ron Paul Liberty Cards (http://www.libertytalk.com/liberty_card.php) at two coffeeshops and a dozen other acceptable locations. Spoke to two 20 years old males who asked about my Ron Paul sticker - they are now likely votes for Paul. My stickers got a coupe of hundred views on the slopes. Gave a bumper sticker to a couple of friends. Spammed my buddies with more Ron Paul Liberty Cards (http://www.libertytalk.com/liberty_card.php) ... { "I already have one..." "then pass it on Bro" .... and they do! }... got my America: Freedom to Fascism (http://freedomtofascism.com/) back after it was passed around between five or six friends recently ...good news - dear old Mum said she's thinking about switching ( lifelong Dem ) for Paul.... Pops is a maybe... sis' new hubby is a good possibility...

Best of all a cute girl asked me for my number! ( and she's a "possible-to-likely" Ron Paul vote! )

It's like multi-level marketing... except with Ron Paul you really believe in the "product"!
