This link was already posted in another thread, highlighting different information.

But the part about an estimated 50,000 donors is worth paying attention to!

Meetup groups, youtube videos, page-views, and even 1200 people in the Hy-Vee don't necessarily show a group of this size and passion. Doubters had some wiggle room on that.

Even campaign contribution totals and cash-on-hand can mislead. Paul is frugal, and that's why he is in such good financial shape. The contribution total was not large enough to thoroughly prove a large and growing base.

But 50,000 people who took the time to actually give money out of their own pocket - regular, everyday non-rich folk - well now, that does prove something!

The Ron Paul campaign having more cash-on-hand than all other 2nd-tier candidates combined is interesting an cool, but not a 'phenomenon.' Having more donors than all of them combined IS a phenomenon!

Way to go folks! Donations under $200 are hugely important. But let's milk the other $2100 out of ourselves soon!

So Ron Paul had more donors then all GOP candidates combined?

No, more than all the other 2nd-tier candidates.

There's a typo in that chart which really confused me. Rudy has 61000 contributors. Not 609:0. lol I was really confused at first how Rudy had a larger % than Ron Paul with 6090 contributors.:p

Some of those people donated more than once, so the number will be a bit smaller. Still rocking, though. I expect Q3 to be even more impressive.

Ron Paul is 4th with total number of donors.

Based on different numbers and math, I came up with a similar estimate (as described in this post (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?p=71465#post71465)) of 50,000 to 55,000 total donors, the vast majority of those being donors that gave $200 or less.

$2100! Anyone have any money I can borrow....lol
I've given//spent about $350.00 but not all of that going to RP. I started a meetup group / bought flyers / t-shirts / Made a big double sided sign.

We here on this board are doing our jobs but we need to multiply greatly and have everyone else donate and contribute in other ways as well. Do you know there are more members of the global elite Council of Foreign Relations than members of RonPaulForums.com? We need to grow faster. The good news is we are determined and our message is contagious.

Why would anyone donate money to Romney or Giuliani? Like..why? lol I just don't understand how so many people just do that.

This has to be one of the most telling numbers about RP's popularity to date, right?
