Just wondering about the validity of the polls and if any of us even have a chance of being called.

Can you edit the poll to include: "Yes, but I don't answer it unless I know who is calling."?

Yes, I have a landline. My number is unlisted, though.

I've been a registered Republican for 15 1/2 of my 18 years of being eligible to vote. Save for 2 1/2 years when I ran for Congress as a Libertarian.

I have NEVER been called for a preference poll. I've participated in TWO Arbitron ratings periods, been called for jury duty four times (always just as I'm moving), and charities find me (I don't mind this).

Point is, those polls aren't accurate.

Even when I had a land line, (have not since 2003) I would not answer it unless I recognized who was calling.

I have both landline and cell. Have been registered to vote since I was 22 as a Republican. I have never been called to answer a poll though like NCGOPer_for_Paul, I have been found by numerous charities and called for jury duty several times.

I don't know how to edit it, but if you don't answer your phone then maybe select no? Either that or start answering!! :D :D :p

I have one, but I only use if for DSL, I've never actually attached a phone to it.

I have a landline as well as a cell phone. Still primarily use my landline when home.

In the 2006 election I was called about 2 times a week from September through election day and asked to respond to a Michelle Bachman/Patty Wetterling poll for my Congressional seat.

Um. I haven't voted in this poll because I use voice over IP (Vonage) as a landline. Not sure that really counts.
