thought the trend was important and wasn't reported in the Gallup poll previously. Yes, i know, 5% margin of error.

What's interesting to me is the fact that USA Today was all over the story that Ron Paul garnered 0% in the July 6-8 poll, but neither USAT nor any other MSM has reported on the latest Gallup poll from July 12-15. In fact, google (news) "ron paul" + "gallup" and you only get TWO stories commenting on the results - one from Townhall.com, the other from AngusReid - hardly widely read publications.

Also, someone commented that the July 8 poll results reflect a different metric applied (republicans and republican leaners), whereas I believe both polls used that same metric.

Goes without saying, RP needs better PR if we're going to win the fight

Hi JP,

As long as the poll is sufficiently large (100-300 minimum) and the selection was done randomly, the numbers can assumed to be correct within a specific margin of error.

Best,

James
