View Full Version : A bit of a stretch but it can be done

Almost 24,000 Meetup group members need to pledge $100.00 to raise $2,400,000 for the Ron Paul campaign. Imagine if we did that every month for the next five months!

Perhaps we could do it every week (a BIG stretch), that's twenty weeks! That's approximately $48 million if we really did it!

Obviously 100/month is something that isn't THAT hard so it would be the best logical option.

I can't do that much - but I'm doing what I can.

I've decided to give 4 times as much as I gave last time since his numbers quadrupled. I was only able to donate 25$ so it'll be 100$ this quarter. I gave 50$ last week and plan on giving another 50 sometime during next week so I'll be able to pledge the 100 this quarter.

I'm currently moving and starting up a business so I can't afford more than that this month.

It's not a bad goal but many of us cannot donate such numbers. BUT, for those of us who cannot donate, we CAN bring new people into our campaign who will donate!

yeah 100 is a little high for alot of people...

most could swing 10 bucks.

240,000 is nothing to sneeze at.

I'll be honest, I made my first donation this week of $50. I fought within between $25 and $50, but decided WTF...it's for my future kids and my country.

I can't do much more than that this month, but I think I'll just make it a recurring Bill Pay if you know what I mean. I spend $180 on cable a month. I think I can spend $50 on my freedom.

Nice idea...i'm canceling some monthly stuff...my goal is $1000 in next 3 months to HQ or local meetup...i've spent 200 already...come on it's easy......lol

Hate to say this but there are not 24,000 individual meetup members. Many members belong to more then one group which inflates the real number. This trend agravates me because it is more difficult to gauge real support levels.

As another poster pointed out yesterday though, that, like him/her. only one member of the family may sign up on Meet-Up but both husband/wife are actively supporting Ron Paul. Makes sense to me.

Again, hate to disagree, but my wife and I are both on Meetup. As is several couples in our group.
