Im starting to think the terrorists try to influence our elections by threatening us more during election times.

Hopefully Ron has something to say about this as Im sure the Fox News debate is going to swarm it and spin it into us needing to stay in Iraq.

The GOP owes a huge debt of gratitude to the Saudi royals.

To me it proves Dr Paul's point that invading Iraq and having open borders has not made us safer.

Close but not quite...it's more that the terrorists are used as a political tool. The republicans staunched what would have been a mass exodus in 2006 by parading around the terrorist threats for all to see, and that will continue to happen for as long as it pays political dividends.

Exactly.
But to thinking individuals it is proof that their policies have failed.

Threats lead to fear which leads to wanting more security which leads to giving up your freedom. The government knows this and until the majority of americans know it they will always use threats to sway and manipulate their citizens.

Of course that's what they are doing. They want the republicans in office here and meddling in middle east affairs because it helps their recruiting efforts! The muslim fundamentalists get a lot of traction by selling this as a modern day crusade.
