We should definitely seek his endorsement. Maybe even use him in a TV ad for SC.

I know that this is probably not a popular opinion among boxing fans, but I like Joe Frazier a lot more than Muhammad Ali. I don't like the showboating styles of an Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, or a Floyd Mayweather. Frazier is my kind of boxer, and my kind of guy.

I don't watch boxing at all, and I've heard of Joe Frazier! :)

We need background on this guy, although I don't know how much information is available about the political views of a boxer. :D

The best approach might be the most simple, effective, Ron Paul message. The crisis this country is facing, Ron Paul's knowledge and experience, his plans to empower Americans, etc. etc. etc...

I'd have to assume that Joe Frazier has some media handlers, or some kind of management group, or something. We need contact information, refine our message, contact him like crazy. :)

He worked at a friend of mine's furniture store in Beaufort when he was growing up. He's extremely down to earth.

I love Ali but Ali was really mean to him, making fun of his Beaufort accent, calling him a monkey and so on. So he kept his mouth shut and KO'd Ali.

Now he has a house next to my Aunt on Hilton Head Island. But I've never seen him there. I think it's a vacation home.

He is very, very popular in South Carolina. An appearance with him would win thousands of votes, many of which would probably go to Obama.

I got it!!!!

We should pay him if we have to. I hate to say this because he's a hero of mine but ...He's not particularly smart. But the good news is we can pay him and he'll show up and make his legions of fans happy. He's probably against the war. It should be easy to get him on board.

Joe Frazier endorsing us would be huge. We have the general election to consider as well, and Obama is very effectively playing into OUR youth demographic. Obviously, Ron Paul is the only one who understands what is happening so he can effectively act to MAKE change happen, but Obama is a threat nonetheless.

Ron Paul has a great appear as a celebrity/rockstar. We need to play this up! Also, I'm thinking we need to broker a deal between Playboy and that Ranch out in Nevada! Just THINK of the implications of that! :)

Also, like I was saying, I have a little time now to help get some ideas going, setting myself up for when I wake up tonight and have two nonstop days to dedicate towards making this all happen. I assure you this isn't all talk! :D

That's cool. I think we can probably just pay Joe Frazier to appear. I think he makes money that way these days. Shouldn't cost too much.

Well look at that fee!

Would supporters be willing to raise $30,000 to get Joe Frazier to endorse Ron Paul in South Carolina?

Perhaps we can work with the gambling community. I'll get started in contacting them. :)

Would this be an "in" for us? Could we use this to get Joe Frazier more involved, possibly lessening the fees a bit?

Frazier is very conservative and a very good man. But he is also a very private type. Not into the spotlight. He would be an excellent endorsement if it could be done.

Well we can pay him. If we really reached through to him in a way that wasn't motivated solely by money, perhaps he would be more willing to campaign for us? :)

Who knows, but an official endorsement carried by the local media would be great, and might capture national attention as well! Celebrity endorsements are great because there is already a public perception of Ron Paul as a rock star, and we need to play into that sentiment, to energize the campaign and be ready to take out Obama later on. ;)

Hey, where are those online gambling contacts you posted? I'm going to contact them and see if they would help us get involved. I'll sell them the situation in South Carolina and how crucial it is that Ron Paul is elected, and demonstrate to them that we WILL make this happen, with their support! :)

I know he's not from South Carolina, but Willie Nelson would love Paul

William Caleb Yarborough (born March 27, 1940 in Timmonsville, South Carolina, near the Famous Darlington Raceway), is a businessman and former NASCAR Winston Cup Series driver and owner. He is the only driver in NASCAR history to win three consecutive championships. In the past, he has appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
His 83 wins places him at number five in the all-time NASCAR winner's list (behind Bobby Allison and Darrell Waltrip, who are tied for third with 84). Yarborough also won the Daytona 500 four times--his first win coming in 1968 for the Wood Brothers, the second in 1977 for Junior Johnson, and back-to-back wins in 1983 and 1984. In 1984, he became the first driver to qualify for the Daytona 500 with a top speed of more than 200 miles per hour.
Cale Yarborough is not related to fellow NASCAR veteran Lee Roy Yarbrough. Most notably, their respective surnames have different spellings.

Pretty much an occupational hazard, when you get punched in the head for a living.

South Carolina football coach and Heisman trophy winning quarterback Steve Spurrier. This could help in Florida as well.

Andie McDowell - Much more attractive than Chuck Norris or William Perry.

MacDowell was born Rosalie Anderson MacDowell in Gaffney, South Carolina, daughter of Paula, a music teacher, and Marion MacDowell, a lumber executive.

No, I mean the contact information you posted about the online gambling comunities. I want to contact them, explain what we are seeking in South Carolina and how we feel we can win, and relate Ron Paul with their own interests, and see if they can help us get Joe Frazier. :)

I see. I'm no gambling expert. I do see a lot of goldenpalace.com ads.

I think you need to talk to someone from Nevada about that.

Nah, I thought someone posted some links to some online gambling communities in here. I guess it wasn't you. :D
