Hahahhaha. That is the most ridiculous statement I have ever heard in years.

I guess Rudy rejects the 911 Commission report, not to mention what is common knowledge among 99% of the world's foreign policy experts.

This guy is completely braindead.

Deep inside he knows he is wrong. He is just saying what the "america is never wrong" crowd wants to hear.

Of course not, they hate us because we are rich and have 20 freedom fries and burger menu choices at burger king:

But our policies have resulted in more power of radical extremists and we have often sided with religious Islamic extremsits against socialist, secular regimes we don't like.

Warning, violent images.

No, I don't think so. Rudy is 100% deluded. He really believes his ludicrous and dangerous positions.

Ron should have mentioned Micheal Scheuer and Blowback.

I just watched the highlights on youtube, and noticed that Giuliani cites the Munich Olympics in his argument. Does he actually think the Israeli team was taken hostage because of Western freedoms? It had nothing to do with Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands (which is a perfect example of Paul's argument)?

It's just amazing. I refuse to believe that any voter would actually agree with Giuliani on this.

yup he is too scared to say it because he might loose financial support. I am sure CFR is backing Rudy big time.

If Ron and Rudy or Ron and Mitt or Ron vs any of them ever happened with a one on one debate lasting like 2 hours, Ron would absolutely DESTROY these guys in a debate on this issue. They would be left on the ground in the fetal position.

Or as Shellshock points out: I'd love to see any of these idiots debate Michael Scheuer. They would get destroyed so badly that they would have to leave politics forever.

Last time, his comment could be defended because RP was a shade vague.

This time, Rudy went all the way, and just made a fool of himself.

"Rudy, did you really just cite Munich Olympics on this? Really? You don't think it has anything to do with what they perceive as occupation of Palestinian when the state of Israel was created? Really Rudy, do you read books over there? You think that happened because they hate western freedoms? You want to lead the country and yet you don't even know history. It's quite sad."

He doesn't even have to read a book. There was a friggin movie about it. 'Munich' (2005)

Ron Paul was exactly right for calling Rudy out for painting all Islamics the same way. Munich Olympics and Leon Klinghoffer were not radical islamo-fundamentalism, they were PLO. While the PLO is no friend of the Jews, they weren't in it for jihad, they were in it for Palestine.

Not to put pop culture in place of historical evidence... from 'Munich'

Avner: This is a dream. You can't take back a country you never had.
Ali: You sound like a Jew.
Avner: (smiling: ) Fuck you. I'm the voice inside your head, telling you what you know is true. Your people have nothing to bargain with. You'll never get the land back. You'll all die, old men in refugee camps, waiting for "Palestine."
Ali: (a shrug, easy: ) We have a lot of children, they'll have children, so we can wait forever, and, and ... if we need to, we can make the whole planet unsafe for Jews.
Avner: You kill Jews, and the world feels bad for them and thinks you're animals.
Ali: Yeah, but then the world will see how they've made us into animals. They'll start to ask questions about the conditions in our cages.
Avner: You're Arabs. There are lots of places for Arabs.
Ali: You're a Jew sypathizer. All you Germans are soft on Israel, you give us money but you feel guilty about Hitler, and the Jews exploit your guilt. My father didn't gas any Jews.
Avner: Tell me something, Ali.
Ali: What?
Avner: You really miss your father's olive trees? The crappy village he came from? You honestly think you have to get back all that... nothing, chalky soil and stone huts? That's what you want for your kids?
[Ali looks into Avner's eyes.]
Ali: It is. It absolutely is. It'll take a hundred years, but we'll win. How long did it take the Jews to get their own country? How long did it take the Germans to make Germany?
Avner: And look how well that worked out.
Ali: You don't know what it is not to have a home. That's why you European reds don't get it. You say it's nothing, but you have a home to come back to. ETA, ANC, IRA, PLO -- we all pretend to care about your "International revolution." But we don't care. We want to be nations. Home is everything.

Rudy is obsessed with starting world war 3. He's going to bring Israel into NATO. . . only furthering the AIPAC control of our national politics. We'll probably be fighting a wider Middle East war with Iran. We'll also probably end up fighting in the Caspian region as Russia and China vie for control.

This was definitely the most draw-dropping moment of the debate for me. That Rudy could say something so obviously false with such conviction... yikes.

Also, I loved his list of "good" things that have resulted from GW's foreign policy - the Patriot Act, electronic eavesdropping...

I have to have a drink.

Totally agree.

That's why he isn't burning all of his cash.

Tortoise vs the hare and the longer Ron's message is out there, and the more the field is narrowed, the stronger he will be.

Rudy is crazy. He seems to have multiple personalities. Listen to his comments tonight about his respect for the Arabs, cultural exchanges, not blaming groups, blah blah vs. his ad "ready".

The greatest danger this nation is facing is Rudy G.

LOL a comment on bravenew's site

I don't know what you all are talking about. Rudy just wants to save us from the flesh eating militant Muslims. Forget peace, forget your conscience; when we have fear in our eyes it is vital to just keep up the blind fire...duck your head, hide behind a wall and shoot to kill. Do it for freedom.

Well... If that's his view of foreign policy, then I guess he doesn't mind it at all, when a bunch of RP supporters show up to his rallies, etc. :)
Truthfully, that view of foreign policy scares me.

In response to the "you read their propoganda" quote by Romney (I believe), Ron should have responded: OH, the 9/11 Commission report is PROPOGANDA??
