I was thinking that when I head back to school on Monday that me and a couple of friends could start a club called the Liberty Club, and we could spread this throughout the country, include both high schools and colleges. Would any college students be interested in this? We can spread the message to the younger students so that will triumph ultimately, whether or not Ron Paul wins the Presidency.

If there is already an organization for this, could someone direct me to a website. I looked it up on Google, and got some weird results.

I can't see people on a college campus being very receptive to JBS.

If the goal is to draw new supporters into the struggle for freedom then we need to create something that can't be placed within the borders of "right" and "left".

I have to wonder why people on a college campus wouldn't be receptive to the JBS.
Is it because the organization is old?

Is the JBS, "right" and or "left"?... I thought it was about the constitution.

I don't think students will be very receptive to an organization they have to pay to enter, that and it seems to focus on families. If I was a father I would probably join with my family, but that is many years away for me.

Maybe I'm wrong. I just always thought that JBS was considered hardcore right-wing by most people. The OP said that he wants to spread the message, and young people aren't going to be receptive if they already have a stupid bias against the organization promoting the message.

Student and youth membership is only $39 per year and you get the The New American subscription with it.

If you buy the subscription by itself it is $39 per year.

A liberty club with only a $5-10 due will catch on a lot faster than something called the John Birch Society that has a $29 fee, and Liberty Club is a lot catchier than John Birch Society, don't you think.

I guess you can reinvent the wheel if you wish. :)

It's a great organization to belong to if you're already sold on the idea of freedom and liberty but for a student, who's had left-wing socialist groupthink propaganda drilled in his brain for years, isn't going to pay money to belong to an organization that shows ads for The Great Global Warming Swindle, mentions of God, and old people in cowboy hats on its front page.

I see your point. :D
