Flight Itinerary - January 5-11
January 5th, 2008 by Charles

NOTE: These are HIGHLY tenative and are subject to change.

Our goal is to spread the word about Ron Paul where it will have the best effect. Currently the Ron Paul Blimp is in Florida as this is an early primary state and offers weather favorable to flying conditions.

Our next target is South Carolina, another early primary state and site of an upcoming, Nationally televised debate. We intend to brave some questionable weather and have the Blimp make an appearance at this important venue. Then, we’ll be giving rides to notables in South Carolina and to the media in Charleston. We will then continue to work our way north to the strongly Republican area in the north west part of the state including Greenville and Spartanburg… while not forgetting Columbia, the state capitol.

To those ends here are the currently proposed Flight Itineraries for January 5th through January 11th:

.

Largely because of expected wind and weather conditions (and time and distance)... please see this post for a more complete explanation:

Why not Miami (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showpost.php?p=837144&postcount=3)

I'm glad that you guys are going to try and get the blimp to the debate. This is very smart IMO.

Do you guys plan on leaving the blimp in SC through the 18th?

Thanks. This could be a great venue. The controversy about the invitees to the debate could work to our benefit in whatever direction they take as well. The reporting of Fox's decision to exclude Ron Paul by CNN was... well, amazing, amazing. With any luck this could turn into a genuine tiff between the networks and work in Ron Paul's favor. If FOX changes it mind this could also work to our benefit. If we all keep our cool and let CNN and FOX go at one another it could be a VERY good thing. We should use this to our advantage and not change the focus of the story. Let the two giants go at one another while we stay out of the fight... and we could benefit greatly. The events at Myrtle Beach could be quite a media bonanza in our favor, especially considering these recent events.

The plan for South Carolina is to remain there and to be overhead when they are holding the election on January 19th.
