Hi.
I have an idea how to improve the yard or other sign functionality. I am not sure if anyone has done something like this or if this is even allowed, but I would post it anyway.
For example take an ordinary yard sign:

The sign is great looking and no doubt affects the campaing in following ways:
Ron Paul name recognition
Encourages potential voter to find more about the Ron Paul
But there are a few problems why the signs aren't that effective:
There are many other candidate signs in the area. This means that it is hard for any sign to stand out. All look the same.
It only encourages user to research the Ron Paul himself. Some people don't have time, internet or don't know how to use it. So they also rely on the MSM.
So my idea is to provide the voter with the information he needs at the same place. This would save him allot of time and would spread the message much more effectively.
You know in my town there are boxes with free newspaper. Usually by the end of the day they all are taken. Why not make something like this but using a sign as a base.
Here is what I have in mind:

All you need is to add a place where slim jims or the DVD's can be put into. You leave the sign at any public place where allot of people walk by. I can bet that this unique design would interest more people to find out about Ron Paul message.
The other approach which could even further stimulate interest is to focus on the issues. The voters doesn't care that much about the candidates themselves but care more about the problems, and these issues are the reason why the pick the candidate. So if the potential voter finds a sign with a way how to solve his problems I bet he wouldn't hesitate to find out about it more.

It doesn't require much work to make. But it can give an additional boost because of the unique idea. I would also like to see how it would work in reality. So if anyone would make a sign like this, put it somewhere and observe how the people would react to it.
