Have you noticed how little coverage the war is getting in the media right now? You'd hardly know that a war is still going on. Is that a coincidence? Not hardly.

Ron Paul is the only candidate speaking truth to the war issue. He's the only candidate vowing to end it immediately. He's the only candidate with a voting record that solidly matches his message.

Most of us here care deeply about these serious issues. But sadly, the typical voter is very misinformed. The media will try to keep it that way. We MUST counter that in any way we can.

Yes! The war is crucial to us! Americans still want us out. They will still respond!

We all need to start talking to Americans and conveying our views on what is happening to them! Check out this thread:

It isn't set up yet because we're just starting, but we're going to have it so that every single one of us will be able to call people in South Carolina, in an effective way, and make our voices heard, WHERE IT COUNTS

Let's all get on board with this! :)

The War in Iraq also segues (sic?) into budget discussions. Remember when Paul Wolfowitz and all the other Neocons in the Administration were arguing that the War in Iraq would only cost $50 Million and that War would essentially pay for itself from Iraqi oil revenues. Well, here we are $1 Trillion later and now McCain is talking about a 100 Year War in Iraq. The fact of the matter is that this country cannot afford it! We are $10 Trillion in debt (most of which happened while McCain was in the U.S. Senate) and the United States is now experiencing what England experienced in the late 19th century -- Imperial Overstretch. England's global military footprint a century ago sapped England of its resources; a fate that is going to befall the United States unless it starts reducing its military footprints in Europe and Asia. It's time for our Allies around the world to start shouldering their military responsibilities. World War 2 has been over for over 60 years so there is no reason why we should have troops in Germany and Japan.

Here's a new video with views of Dems and Reps on continuing the war. Handy for your friends who think the Dems will bring us home.

Exactly.

What is important is not that there is a military exercise in Iraq, but that we are spending billions on our foreign policy.
