He has to hit him hard on this. Not for a gimmick or a strategy, but because the people should know the truth and know how important it is.

BUT much more importantly, he ALSO must, in this debate, and in ads or however for the next few days, hit Obama on the war (not out til at least 2013) (as well as the patriot act, and taxes).

If he (and his Campaign) does not do this strongly, they may be giving up 5-10 or more percentage points. We need boldness and a shouted, strong message that defines him as better and necessary.

Make sure at all the primary events of the other speakers bring it up in your questions!!! Ask them according to the LA Times McCain is fine with us being in Iraq for 100 years. 50 more than Bush wants. How do you feel about that and what is your timetable? More or less than McCain's New 100 year war?

I think 100 years is being a bit soft.

I think we might as well make it 1000 years and call it the Fourth Reich.

Funny you should mention it (but I can one-up you):

Maybe you could chalk it up to him being tired, which wouldn't make it better, but would at least give an explanation. But, later on, when asked about it by David Corn of Mother Jones, McCain said he could see us being there "a thousand years or a million years." Rather than realize that what he said was incredibly stupid in terms of helping the troops, he showed absolutely no understanding of the ramifications of his words, and upped the ante!

BUMP! This is the kind of pure gold-coated ammunition that RP just can't buy.

He needs to be FORCEFUL (but calm and pleasant) in this debate, demand long and equal answer times, and say how McCain will have unemployment at 0% with every American drafted off to war for 100 years. ;)

He needs to have a twinkle in his eye, he needs to make a joke about it while simultaneously shocking the audience and he needs to get McCain to stumble around his words... and Ron Paul's clear concise logic about the economy which is ... UNFORTUNATELY ... an even bigger threat than terrorism, will win over NH.

Also ask:
What will happen if McCain gets his New 100 year War in Iraq?
Endless terms of duty in Iraq for military servicemen or a new draft?

How Mccain plans to finance our presence in iraq for 100 years? That should be the real question.
