527 GROUPS: Named for the federal tax code under which they file, these independent groups can raise and spend unlimited amounts of money on the election, as long as they don't coordinate with other campaigns. One famous 527: the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, which spent $22 million in 2004 to defeat John Kerry.

C'mon, where are the millionaires.. ie... perot etc.... that can ante up for Ron Paul????????????????????

I think when RP reaches a certain "critical mass" that this will happen. There will be people who want to see the campaign hitting certain themes, willing to spend money themselves. As "open source" as this campaign has been so far, I'm sure of it if he can just get a bit more exposure.
