For those of you who don't know who Allan Handelman is he's like Art Bell except much less of a conspiracy nut. His shows cover 'alternative culture' issues and 'rock culture' issues. Many of his shoes and guests are very Libertarian. He's had several Libertarians on over the years as well as members of The Green Party.

Here's his website:

Contact info: contest@ifitrocks.com or by phone at 704-363-8326

The show will be on again this Sunday night from 10PM to 1AM EST.

This is his guest and the topic of discussion for Sunday night's show:

A decorated former cop says, ‘Marijuana Should Be Legal!' Even innocent people go to jail!

This week, the DEA'S former "top cop" Barry Cooper responds to Allan Handelman's recent show on the Drug War. What he has to say may surprise you. Also, just released for 2008, the latest stats on teenage drug usage. They are using more ecstasy and hard prescription drugs while smoking less marijuana.

Click to buy! He's seen the dark side of drug abuse. He's made hundreds of arrests but Barry Cooper has changed his tune. Hear why after 8 years of narcotics work he's gone to the other side and now says marijuana should be legalized. He's had over 800 felony and misdemeanor narcotics arrests and DEA training.

This former top cop says, our country has a history of aggressively pursuing and placing innocent people in jail and considering them criminals because they broke a current law that was later proven to be unjustified. The docile marijuana users of this nation are not criminals either Unfortunately 830,000 citizens are jailed each year (2006) for violating unjustified marijuana laws.

So I figured we could call up and work in Ron Paul's opposite to the war on drugs and stance on marijuana.

Oh, and by the way, Barry Cooper is also running as a Libertarian candidate for Congress in the 31st District of Texas: http://lptexas.org/candidates.shtml

So might be good to find out what he thinks of Ron Paul too and if he supports him or not. If he doesn't, maybe he will by the end of the night ;)

Allan Who?

What happened to Letterman?

He's nationally syndicated. Read above for more about him or go to the site I linked.

Of course we should keep trying to get Ron on Letterman, but that's a different ball game. I'm not talking about trying to get Ron on a show, I'm talking about calling up a radio talk show to talk him up on the air like people did with Art Bell tonight or like people do on C-SPAN.
