View Full Version : Where do people get the idea that Ron Paul is crazy?

Most people when they talk about Ron Paul negatively have this to say:

-He cant get any of the stuff done he wants to because of checks and balances
-His supporters are jerks and they are wasting their money
-He will destroy the government, and peoples lives if he gets his way
-Free market health care would be horrible. Competition does not =better medicine
-How will we pay for firemen, police officers, etc without taxes.

etc

When I first started hearing Ron Paul talk, and researched his opinions on issues I felt like I was being told the truth for the first time. The way he talks and what he says are so basic and make so much sense.

So why dont more people, (especially younger people) feel this way? Are they already stuck in their ways?

Are we, the Paul supporters, putting them off?

Why do people seem to have a personal grudge against Ron Paul when they talk bad about him?

People are afraid of freedom. They fear it and react like that. How is freedom even possible?

It does not compute.

Maybe it's because his platform is all encompassing where all the issues interplay with one another and many people are used to just sticking to seperate issues. It can also be quite a downer to hear someone tell you that the foundation that you've set for making decisions has been built on lies or misinformation you've been given throughout your life, even though the message makes logical sense.

it's amazing how in line most conservatives really are to RP's message - yet they just don't get it. I was listening to Sean Hannity today on the radio and he sounded just like Ron Paul quite a few times.

I'd like to think of it this way: when people sit around and bitch and moan about the way things are and say they'd like to change things........

Well they KNOW when Dr. PAUL says it that he is SERIOUS!!!! in contrast to their perpetual bitch session without changing a damn thing!!!

They think he's crazy because they don't believe his ideas can be implemented.

Abolish the IRS? No way!

Dump the Federal Reserve? It would be chaos!

End the Dept. of Ed? But what about the children?

Follow the Constitution? You mean the U.S. one? Yeah, right!

It's from decades of the establishment and media dumbing down the general population, combined with fear-mongering.

Why do people seem to have a personal grudge against Ron Paul when they talk bad about him?

Its mostly ignorance. A lot of people just arent educated beyond what the tv tells them. Its sad, but you really cant hold them to fault.

Another biggy is because he isnt a "mainstream" candidate. Note Huckster before nov and after.

Maybe because they don't have a brain and they just take all the BS media is shoving down their throats? "Instead of actually hearing the arguments right from the horse's mouth, I rather have it filtered by the media."

Don't give him any slack. He was probably only reacting to the ongoing boycott of Fox by one of the most desirable demographic segments, us crazies.

The problem is that his message takes a while to sink in and most people are not willing to give a second look.
