We NHites are DARN concerned with taxes and spending - so, with that in mind, and given the fact that the Iraq War is costing a trillion a year, what is a trillion dollars a year, plus 5% inflation (yes, I know it's higher, let's just use CPI for arguments sake), plus, say 6% compound interest on debt through bonds?

Then once the grand total is collected, what are some equivilents (eg., that's enough money to pay for two people to fly around the world, eating and staying at 5 star resorts, 29,225 times)?

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? :)

As of recently, finacial cost of Iraq war was $2 Billion per week.
Many American lives lost and many more injured, maimed.
30% of all Iraqi population killed, orphaned or lost a family member.

Future costs to cope with any resulting terror threat originating from Iraq are hard to project at this stage but there are are a lot of Iraqis not happy with US presence there.
