He also contributed to Hillary, Obama, and Biden. I thought it was cool too until I saw that.

As someone else already pointed out, he gave to the others a while ago. He gave to RP on 6/21 and he was the only Republican that Manilow gave too. Maybe he's a convert.

Im betting he had never heard of Ron Paul until the debates. He saw an honest man speaking the truth and opened up his checkbook.

hahaha, do people actually do that? Why would you want to give money to your political enemy?

He probably gave money to the democrats and then saw Ron Paul who didn't hold the republican line with the war so he gave to him as well.

Well, Ron Paul will get a lot more use out of his $2300 than the others will out of theirs, so I say bring on these types of donations!

If we could get Barry Manilow to perform at the Ron Paul tent in Ames on August 11 it would be huge!

As much as I love Ron Paul, I really can't bring myself to buy a Barry Manilow album.

The reason he gave to RP is because he really wants a democrat to win, but if a democrat cant win, he would like it to be a republican that is the least of a douche.

thats his thinking, not mine.

Or maybe he'd like to see two get out of Iraq candidates fight for the presidency so we actually will get out of Iraq no matter who wins?

Instead of buying a Barry Manilow CD. How about we give that extra amount to Ron Paul's campaign?

I don't beleive we would either...but those two are doing a great job of selling that they would....

Kinda like George Bush campaigning on humble foreign policy and no nation building....we all know how that worked out....

Now the Neolibs at the DLC are doing the same sort of thing taking one from the neocon playbook!

For the life of me, I cannot figure out why so many americans believe the lies of all the "top tier" candidates on both sides. Even if they didnt like RP, you would think they would go for someone that actually believes what he says, like Kucinich or someone like that.

I just dont get it.

Exactly. It makes it even more inspiring that he had already donated to some of the Democratic contenders.

Should we email Barry Manilow to thank him for supporting Ron Paul?

I was kind of joking about buying the Barry Manilow CD. Of course we should donate to the campaign instead!
