It is so true, I live here and know...

New Years Eve at Portsmouth was JUST a Ron Paul rally, it was great!
I did not participate or even know about it I was completely amazed...

I feel good about RP in NH, but you gotta think Obama and McCain will take some Independents.

McCain is going to be real tough. A second behind McCain would be amazing. IF RP gets 30% of the Independents, that could push him to second.

I agree, we did not come far from 3rd place in IA.

and I think the playing field will be a lot tighter in NH, it's Romney's backyard, Huck has the bump, Thompson should steal some of Huck's support, McCain is popular with Independants, and Giuliani will steal a percentage from all of them. And of course we all know what RP should have going for him here.

I think a strong 2nd or 3rd in NH is very likely IF our people get out there, which I hope the team on the ground is going to ensure.

Don't take anything for granted in NH. There was some of this going on in Iowa, and it worked to our detriment.

Remember, you are probably around Ron Paul supporters every day, so you think everyone thinks this way.

There are a lot of old people who don't understand what is going on, and yet show up to vote because unlike the young people, they have nothing better to do. There was a lot of this in Iowa.

You have to focus on the base along with young people.

DON'T TAKE ANYTHING FOR GRANTED.

Why does McCain poll so well there among Republicans? He's for amnesty.

Because people are stupid and listen to the media and the media has been pumping him for the last couple of weeks. Low and behold, his numbers have risen.

I hope you guys are right, but I have become very skeptic.
The Zogby poll for Iowa was dead on.

The Zogby poll for NH has him at 7%, and a 13% error seems unlikely.
20% just sounds like wishful thinking to me.

I hope I am wrong.

You need to look at the percentage of independents that he won in Iowa. The polls you're looking at are for Republicans. NH is loaded with independents. They don't want to be pinned down and pegged in a hole as either a Dem or Repub. Exactly our kind of people.

Every single time I try a new method for predicting the results, even giving the others candidates the benefit of the doubt, I still come up with 17-19%.

But NH is nearly impossible to predict. But I will tell you that I have not heard anyone here from any campaign or no matter who they support, who are willing to say that Ron won't finish in the top three.

I've seen polls this close to the election be off by up to 900% of the estimate or almost 30% of the vote.

If we can get the young to vote... and the ones the pollsters do not call... We got it...
We have 7-9% of the typical republican vote... We may get 5-10% additional from the independents... And if we can get the young to vote, we will get another % not able to be calculated...
My projections , 15% - 35% LETS GET TURNOUT!

To those in NH, just a reminder that 17% of the Iowa Caucus Repubs and Independents decided who to vote for ON ELECTION DAY.
