View Full Version : Voters.ronpaul2008.com Questions Answered

I just got back from meeting with Adam (creator and admin. of http://voters.ronpaul2008.com) in our Ann Arbor office and I have answers for many the questions that I gathered from you all on these forums a few hours ago.

First of all the system is essentially complete.

There will be an email from the National Campaign to the entire ronpaul2008.com mailing list tomorrow, which by the way I'm told is in excess of 100,000.

The system will accept the input that you gather while canvassing, i.e. notes and phone numbers.

For security county and state coordinators can remove people if they seem to be moles for opposing campaigns. Additionally, your contact information is visible to every other precinct captain in your county, so potential saboteurs can be kept in check by their peers.

Some counties are missing data and precincts. Those gaps should be filled in shortly.

To prevent confusion for all of you who already know about this, "captains" may instead be changed to "leaders" but the functions will remain the same.

For those of you who are wondering how exactly we got this data, let me tell you all it wasn't easy. It was collected and given to us by the Republican Party proper. Believe me, we had to fight like hell to get it all. Though I'm told it's generally given to all the campaigns, as you might imagine they were quite reluctant to give that info to us. In fact it's something of a minor miracle we have it at all, I'm not sure exactly who is to thank for securing it for us, but we all owe that person(s) our gratitude.

Hey Rob when will all the precincts be added?

Hey Rob when will all the precincts be added?

I believe sometime tomorrow, however, there may be a few instances where they will take longer. I may be meeting with Adam tomorrow, I'll post here if I can get a definitive answer.

I got there from here:

Visit state's official election page:

As is obvious, the email didn't go out yesterday. I honestly don't have an answer as to why; Adam doesn't know either. I can tell you they are still having a few kinks in the system; those are being corrected. The announcement should come soon, but at this point both myself and Adam don't know when that will be.

Rob (and Adam):

On the record feedback and notes page - is that page only for my personal use, or will the state campaign HQ use it for GOTV efforts too?

If the latter: I have quite a few voters to add to that list, people who have moved to the precinct since the list was generated... how should I add them?

I would like to announce to everyone that the saving and adding new info problem with the database should be fixed by now. If it hasn't please let me know.
