Just a few quick-dumb inquiries and you can let this thread drop to the bottom.
Pretty soon I plan on distributing these flyers [ http://www.ronpaul2008.com/files/Flyer-Issues.pdf ] in my neighborhood and maybe one or two other neighborhoods. . .
I'm kind of a shy speaker so I don't want to go door to door talking to people getting weird faces, so I thought I'd just drop off the flyers in mailboxes as it would be faster.
So.... Should I buy envelopes, or just leave the flyers bare.
I was thinking if I used the envelopes I'd write "hand delivered by a concerned American voter" on the front and nothing else. Does that work or do I need something else on it? :p

who cares just do it. Just to let you know putting it in mailboxes is illegal. Slip under doors and place on windshields.

it's called tampering with federal mail it is a crime
just roll them up and put them in the door handles or slip it a little bit into the window molding on a door
or just use a piece of tape to stick them on the door

b/c no one technically owns their mailboxes... usps does.
if you're uptight about going door to door, PM me (i just moved back to town)
and i'll go canvass w/ you and do the talking until you get the hang of it if need be.

Staple rubberbands to them and use them to hang the flyer on the doorknob

Looks great, but definitely keep it out of the mailbox, just to avoid trouble (from the post office, mostly). Don't use envelopes either: it's a waste of time and money, because an envelope reduces the likelihood of it ever being read. Just use an accordion fold, and slip it under the door or slide it partially between the door and the door jam.

Alright thanks for the tips, I'll either just decide to knock on doors, or bring tape and rubber bands.

Nah I'm not going to ask you to do that just because I'm to weird to do it myself, appreciate the offer though.
