because it is so crowded with each candidate having their own niches.
huckabee-social conservatives, evangelicals
mccain- prowar establishment
romney- rich elitists
guliani - big business & security
thompson - southerners
ron paul- constitutionists & independents

the more crowded it is, the less likely someone will roll to victory with early momentum. this means slowly gaining momentum and having cash is very important. so fifth place in iowa and third in new hampshire and lots of money will be a great position to be in. i don't undestand why there are so many disappointed people here because to me its looking like everything is falling in place. blowing everyone away with a first in iowa and new hampshire was so unrealistic that being disappointed makes no sense.
