"It grows slowly because it's on a solid rock foundation"

Everyone who is speaking shit about the campaign, almost without exception, KNOWS NOTHING about the inner workings of it.

Looking at the Iowa results, what do you think the maximum possible result would have been? I'm guessing a slim 3rd place. But how would that have helped us?

This is a long battle and the campaign was smart to underperform in Iowa if it meant more resources for NH, and more money for the rest of the campaign.

Iowa is not even a primary and our ceiling there was 15%, but only with time and money spent that are now being far better spent elsewhere.

We have to understand what a massive initial setback it is not to be a media favourite and an evangelical favourite. Double digits are great for now. If Giuliani hadn't done so piss poor, we'd might have taken 4th with the same percentage. So what?

The exponential curve we are on is only going to start looking different in NH. We are still on the flat straight, or maybe just starting to angle upwards. And the media is helping the potential of this curve. Every supporter we have and every new convert is a very strong supporter, not just because of the message but because the media is an enemy.

As the field narrows and the curve starts to rise from the fallout of NH, people will be jumping onto the RP bandwagon more than any other -- precisely because the media has made RP such a dark horse.

Because of this, we don't need Romney's budget. But what we have needs to be spent wisely and with more than one or two states in mind. Sure, NH is vital, but when it comes to the final days before Super Tuesday you might be glad we didn't go overboard in Iowa. Hell, you won't even remember it.

If anybody can find a single reason for official HQ failure other than not spending enough in Iowa, well done!

That's the point - overdoing Iowa would be like setting fire to $100 bills!

As long as we keep getting new supporters we can grow this message beyond all expectations.
