Democrat, Republican... pretty meaningless words nowadays. Ron Paul is standing up against both of them quite righteously.

I think the only way the primary will be won is if people like you join the Republican party specifically to vote for Ron Paul. Please tell people about your switch, and why you did it. Encourage more non-extremist Americans to join the fight this way!

There's no big distinction between republican or democrat.

http://www.freemarketnews.com/Analysis/134/7559/ron.asp?wid=134&nid=7559

"The dirty secret of both political parties - as seen from Canada where we have the same problem - is that they have adopted not "right" and "left" positions but positions that are anti-freedom. The Democrats are radicalized socialists while the Republicans are increasingly radicalized militarists and nationalists. A vote for either is a vote for fewer freedoms, more taxes, more big government spending and Federal Reserve machinations.

If people want to get something done - whether it's a merger of nations
or a "war against terror" they simply need to be exposed to the facts
and allowed to decide via a fair vote within the context of a
constitutional republic. But what we have to today is too often an orchestrated
campaign by the power elite to control the outcome of important
questions by muddying the context and rigging the outcome."

If Paul wins the primary then its over. There is no one on the democratic side thats even close to being intellectually prepared to deal with Ron one on one. And the media will not be able to ignore him anymore.

I'm a 40 y/o long-term republican and Ron Paul gets my vote and support, too. The diversity of our crowd shows you the power of the message.

Yeah, I mean I'm young, atheist, consider myself a liberal/centric democrat, but Ron Paul is just so clearly who we need calling the shots. The guy is made out of glass, you can see through to exactly what his stance is and exactly what he's going to do about it. Not once has he slithered around questions or issues, he's right there on the tip of your nose with what has to be done, and America agree's.

ya, theblatanttruth, I am (was?) a liberal democrat, re-registered republican so I can vote for Paul in the primaries, and now consider myself more of a moderate libertarian

* (I) is ok

Yes, I`m amazed by the diverse group of people that support Ron Paul, it really is something to behold. It goes to show that freedom is a powerful message, and freedom is allot less divisive than authoritarian government masquerading itself in a false left vs right paradigm.

I'm a 33-YO rabid Libertarian and have been for the last three election cycles.
I have been disheartened by the soccer mom revolution I have seen in that time, I've been tempted to give up and move abroad by the unwillingness of those around me to accept what is right in front of our eyes. Most of all I have been frustrated by the unthinking dogma of those who choose to label themselves and follow 'their' party.
I am no socialist, and certainly no fascist.
Other than Ron, those are your choices.

I live and die by principles alone, and it's hard to beat an idealist.
I will gladly shred my LP party card if it turns this country around.
Of course, Ron is my man.
