Eric A. Garris on July 16, 2007 blogged on www.lewrockwell.com (http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/014143.html)

Last night I posted the blog entry "Ron Paul Gets Props for His Surge. (http://blog.lewrockwell.com/lewrw/archives/014136.html)" When I woke this morning, I found that the Associated Press article I quoted from and linked to (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070716/ap_on_el_pr/campaign_money) had removed the section of the story dealing with Ron Paul.

I looked around and found that many of the other versions (http://www.azstarnet.com/allheadlines/191917) of the article had also been cut, and other versions had the Ron Paul section reduced to one or two sentences.

I had to go the the UK Guardian to find the original version (http://www.guardian.co.uk/worldlatest/story/0,,-6781566,00.html).

can you tell me WHO owns or is reported to own the media from which things are removed... -- I am also curious as to why Rupert Murdoch supported ronald reagan and served on the board of directors of the libertarian Cato Institute --- yet is helping Hillary Clinton fundraise for her presidential bid.. why not Ron Paul???

Of course they are hard at work...

They can't let some no-account politician who isn't under their thumb win... They paid for the presidency fair and square!

Reagan, for all his perceived qualities, was an establishment candidate. Even Paul, an early supporter became disappointed when Reagan's rhetoric never led to reality based action.

Having said that, Reagan was probably a decent guy, but he had backers and he was not an outsider by any means. Concerning CATO Institute, I used to contribute to them but I have since concluded that they are becoming too comfortable inside the beltway and losing their focus...to put it mildly.
