I'm tired of people getting mad at me for bringing this up, but I smell a rat in Iowa for several reasons.

The worst being a central computer that calculates everything that nobody has any real oversight over, it is closed and not transparent to the people or the campaigns.

I think Ron beat McCain and Thompson, that's what I think.

There was an exit poll that showed that as well.

Did you even read the link I posted?

At any rate he'll beat them both in NH, but I'm tired of rigged elections and in case you forget history, the 2004 elections were very fraudulent in several states (computerized voting) and it was proven in court.

DUDE i was in IA... the caucus vote is the most transparent in the nation... not only are 4 people active in counting the vote... every campaign has someone who gets to watch the count... and every campaign has a phone number for their vote watcher to call into and give the totals... so everyone would know if something fishy was going on

NO. AFTER THAT they take those results and dial a central computer, are you out of your mind? The hand count was to give the appearance of a reliable vote. Then they turn around and type the info into a central computer... GEEZ. They fooled YOU.

with 1800 precincts they only need to skew things a little in some precincts at the central computer and voila, no way to tell anything.

Edit: CNN even showed the system, it is a central computer. There's no need for that crap.

Quote from your link to those that can't bother to read the whole story:

- The delay in results is a red flag.
- The vote totals going down during the count is a red flag.
- The failure to release county results in live time, as promised in a Republican Party press release on Jan. 2, is a red flag.
- The failure to release precinct totals at all is a corrupt procedure. Note that the day before the caucuses, after much pressure, the Republicans did (belatedly) promise to release the precinct results on election night. They didn't.

In addition: I'm trying to get information on whether the public was kicked out of the room during hand counting in all locations, or just some.

I will be publishing some reports by caucus attendees in the "Front Lines" section later today.

There is absolutely no reason to consider any of the Republican caucus results to be credible.

I'm not saying they are wrong, I am saying the breakdown in checks and balances was stunning enough to call it not a magic show, but a bad magic show.

DUDE if every single campaign has a count given from their vote watchers on the ground then every single campaign would know when something fishy happens. Calm down

It doesn't smell right, but it's more likely IA GOP being dumb than an outright fraud. It's not enough to freak over yet.

Wether it is fraud or just honest mistakes, we need to stay on top of this. We need every state to know that we will be actively watching and doublechecking.

Someone in Iowa with a contact number should press the Election Commission why the results are not final. More than enough time. Giving them the weekend to not have a final count is not a great idea.

Exactly, a fair and open vote process is what we should have, we didn't have this in Iowa, heck if I was Giuliani I'd be even more upset.

I thank black box voting for their efforts.
