NOTE: Please call your County GOP to confirm the location and time of your County Convention!


The Wyoming County Conventions are on Saturday, January 5th. Delegates to the County Conventions shall be the members of the County Central Committee and those chosen by caucuses of the several precincts within each County. All Ron Paul supporters who are registered as a Republican in their County may also attend the Convention and support your delegate!


The delegates to a County Convention shall have, but not be limited to, the following powers: 1) To adopt or amend the Bylaws of the County Party, 2) To elect the Delegate and/or Alternate to the Republican National Convention, and 3) To adopt National Resolutions and State Platform planks which shall be submitted to the State Convention.

The order of business at the County Republican Convention shall be: 1) Call to order by the County Chair, 2) Report by the Committees (Credentials, Bylaws, Platform, Resolutions, and Nominating), 3) Elections, 4) other business, 5) Adjournment.

REMEMBER: There are no proxies at County Convention! If a delegate is missing, an ALTERNATE MUST take his/her place!

IMPORTANT: If you are a registered Republican living in your County, you ARE ELIGIBLE to be a nominee for National Convention delegate/alternate. A person wanting to be a delegate/alternate may NOMINATE THEMSELVES or be nominated by a Convention delegate (see page 12 of the "Wyoming Republicans' Easy Guide to 2008 County Conventions). Be prepared to give a 2-3 minute talk about why you support Dr. Ron Paul. If you need a anything, email me at: carl@ronpaul2008.com

Please remember to bring your photo ID and Voter Registration card (if you don't have a VR card, you should still go) to the County Convention. Proof of residence and registration shall be either by the most recent County Clerk's registered voter list or by the signing of a sworn statement presented to the Caucus Chairman.

One news report said that Mitt, Hunter, and Huck visited Wyoming back in September and that no one has visited the state since. Each county looks like it will vote for Mitt or Huck and Paul might get one country if he's lucky. Looking like Mitt will win the caucus vote.

Those who can vote on delegates have already been chosen. We did that in December. There are right now I believe less than 1000 people in the state of Wyoming eligible to vote tomorrow. However, any Republican can be a delegate (they just might not be able to vote for themselves as a delegate). Those who aren't able to vote can still attend and volunteer to be chosen as a delegate.

We'll choose 12 of our 14 delegates to the RNC tomorrow. Of the 23 counties, 12 will pick delegates, the remaining will pick alternates. I'm in a county that only gets to pick an alternate.

The official campaign has been active in sending information out to eligible voters. I've also heard a Ron Paul radio ad played here. I understand grassroots has also sent letters to many of these folks. We'll find out tomorrow how it all went, but if there are any WY supporters checking the forums, do please attend and offer your services as a delegate so folks have someone to vote for.

i was looking up the meetups in wyoming and so far laramie seems to have mobilized, there doesn't seem to be a meetup in basin , gillette had a meetup for jan 5th ( i could be wrong), rawlins doesnt seem to have any meetups, casper looks alrite, lander has a meetup but no info about jan 5th.

I wouldn't worry about it. The only people eligible to vote tomorrow are precinct committee members. We have hand written letters to every PC member, and during the precinct caucuses they were reminded of the 5th. So there is no need to remind them about the 5th. It's big news in Wyoming, too.

I am in the Dallas Tx area but have sent out an email to one of the largest closest meetups that i could fing but it was billings Montana

I have been able to find the Wy meetups been looking up zip codes to try to find them

The irritating thing is I had seen meet up members say they wouldn't show up to the precinct caucuses if the weather was bad. Only 800 out of 1200 spots were filled! Made me so mad. How can you be a part of a grassroots movement and then voluntarily not vote?

But the people who ARE precinct committee members are dedicated.
