The blimp was originally scheduled to fly on December 10th and be in Boston for the Tea-Party on Dec 16th. Excitement and hopes were very high.
However, that's not what happened. The banners were delayed, it didn't launch until Dec 12th (half naked with 1 banner) and wasn't fully 'clothed' until a week later. Then on the way to New Hampshire, a blizzard came, the banner ripped and it had to turn around.
BUT NOW IT'S KICKING ASS IN FLORIDA!!
My point is everyone keeps setting their hopes too high. Getting 10% of the vote in an unfriendly state with VERY BIASED media coverage and low name recognition is a tremendous achievement. We finished in the same ballpark as McCain and Thompson and will be taken more seriously now. Also our FEC filings will show we're the 4th quarter money leader.
Have we forgotten this is a STRUGGLE for the white house? If it were EASY to fight the political machines, then Ron would have been President in 1988. In fact, anyone who thinks placing high in ANY primary is easy needs to get their butts to their local meetup group and make a difference!
Also, convert people to Ron Paul the same way you were converted! Show them a god damn awesome YouTube video!
