Does anyone know why we are still waiting on 5% to report? I figured by this morning they would be at 100%!

Looking at the number of Republican vs. Democrat voters and how the votes are taken, it seems bizzare that the Republican totals were not in long before the Democrat totals........And we are still not at 100%.......
I wish someone would just explain why that is. It really doesn't make any since to me.

The last 5% would put us at 15% if we won all of it!!! lol
whatever, we'll find out eventually.

I read on here somewhere last night that one precinct had lost some votes. Is this why? Is anyone looking into why it is taking so long for a final count on the Republican side? It's bad enough they left a huge chunk of pie open all night, rather than put Paul's 10% in there, but now they still haven't finished counting? Something fishy I think! No one is going to stay there for 24 hours to confirm the vote. What gives?

Ok, jefferson county was delayed because no one thought it was possible that Dr Paul won.
It could be the same with this delay. Dr. Paul did so well that they are needing to confirm.
The problem is that all the reporting will be done on the current numbers, and so if our numbers DO change it wont make a big deal.

what about the supposed discrepency about Giuliani and the 3514 votes in Linn County? The AP has yet to address this.

That's what I'm thinking and it's bullshit. We need to keep an eye on that because it they are stalling, they have something to hide! I don't know if it's enough to knock McCain down to 5th, but it sure would be nice!!

Yep, but the MSM couldn't ignore it if we went to 4th, infact it would be good for us.
"In last minute numbers update it has been confirmed that Ron Paul actually took 4th place, besting Mccain" "Ron Paul is a congressman from Texas etc etc."
Instead we will probebly narrow the 3rd place discrepancy, but no one will know.

I emailed Ray Hoffman the Chairman of the Republican Party of Iowa ( I did not mention RP) and asked why there are still 5% precincts still unaccounted for and asked for an explanation. I also had to add what a travesty their whole caucus was from precinct organizers wearing candidate stickers to the fact that the ballots are tossed into an envelope and passed around with no real security. They also have a poll up now asking "Do you believe the Register debate was an embarassment to Iowa?"

He would need 75% or more of the unreported 4% of votes remaining to take 4th place. That's with McCain getting zero votes from that 4%.
He would need 80% or more to take 3rd with both Thompson and McCain both getting zero.
I'm not saying it can't happen. Believe me, I'd love it if that happened. However it is unlikely. We should still watch Iowa until all counties have reported 100%. Many of the unreported areas had strong numbers for Dr. Paul in the neighboring precincts. It should at least help his totals. It could possibly even get him to 11% but we shouldn't be too eager to call this a conspiracy.
I'm excited that so many people were hopeful of a big turnout and even believed we would pull an upset in Iowa, but now we need to take this energy and refocus it on the remaining states. NH is going to be huge. We can't change the past, only influence change in the future. That's what this campaign is all about.

Did big numbers like these get reported?
Looking at the msnbc map, in some places Ron Paul got a very high percentage:
Cedar County: Paul: 14.49%
Johnson County: Paul: 15.21%
Jackson County: Paul 16.85%
Alamakee County: Paul: 21.05%
Mitchell County: Paul: 15.49%
And so forth.
Good job, Guys!

Quoted: didnt the numbers get called to each campaign after the tallies???????????
That's what I thought. It should show up immediately after the vote, then later they can recount to correct the final tallies. And that seems like it should only happen where there are some minor inconsistencies. It has been a really long time, but no point worrying about it.

I spoke to a man (he did not tell me his name) at the Iowa GOP.
He says when asked about the hold up and when we can expect results:
At least one precinct reported their results to their County Chairman and the County Chairman did not report it to the Iowa GOP...they have since received all of those.
62 precincts hadn't reported since last night
A few of the missing ones are precincts that were "zeroed out" which he said meant that nobody showed up.
He says we can expect 100% very soon and that the results are "pretty darn close" to the results now
He said he had 8 precincts left to go at this point.
