This seems to be an attack against ron paul or was written by someone on the fence. I don't see why churches are so gung ho for the drug war. Legalization gives them a chance to shine. Rather than the government keep people off drugs ending the drug war lets religious leaders take credit for keeping people off drugs. Then they talk about how ron paul is against the common good and then accuse google of being for socialism. What a hypocrite. They don't even mention his views on abortion.

That was relatively fair/neutral article...for townhall, that is. It called RP's stances on the listed issues "subtle & complex", and for Catholics to examine the role government should play in these issues rather than judge based on the policy itself.

However, the last paragraph about the "google drift toward collectivsim", seemed irrelevant and an unfair attempt to link RP to collectivism...perhaps google has collectivist leanings (I have no idea), but its ridiculous to suggest RP is at all for collectivism.

Bob M: It wasn't a townhall article. They never talk about RP except in vain. The article came from the group Catholics for Ron Paul. I posted it on my blog at TH. Best Wishes

I support Ron Paul precisely because his views so closely reflect my Catholic beliefs. I do believe that prostitution and gay marriage are wrong, but these are not beliefs that I want the government enforcing at the point of a gun.

Agreed.

My friend initially became attracted to Ron Paul when Dr. Paul discussed the "Just War theory of Christianity" in one of the debates :) I think the Just War theory exists outside of religion but it is also a historical part of Christianity as well
