I was fishing through my music folder, and found a Leslie Fish song titled "Jefferson and Liberty".

History bit: The lyrics and tune are based on one of the Jefferson campaign songs. THE Jefferson that is.

It was at one time made available for free downloads, but I unfortunately cannot find the site I took it from originally. So I put it up on Megaupload pending someone finding the link t othe original site.

Check this out dudes.

I can't figure out how to download that song from the link above...

But if we're looking for an anthem, I love this one:

You enter the letter combination, and wait for 40 seconds. Then it downloads normally.

Yes, I've seen that one. I know others here like it, but it's not my style. The Evanescence song I posted to a link to has a strong emo content that I prefer. It was also used in this RP video, which is great:

Yeah, but legally we can't use those songs in videos :(

Marc Scibilia is placing no restrictions on his song which I think is cool.

I still love the "revolution is now" song - does someone know
where I can find the MP3 and if this is a song written for Ron Paul?

ADDED: Found it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EG8ZUaLACZ8

Another great one is this song:

Yes, it's definitely cool, and generous. Would be even better if I liked the song (to be honest, I couldn't actually listen to the whole thing).

Does an "anthem" have to be licensable for use in commercial videos? Why can't it just be a cool song that provokes emotion and that fits?

EDIT: I was able to download the song mentioned in the first post in this thread (that site is terrible!) -- but unfortunately I couldn't make it all the way through that one, either -- it might work for some people, but I guess I prefer good music to sing-songy story telling (sorry).

That's ok, I was the same way with Aimee Allen's song... :)

Glad we all have different tastes :)
