Even before the IA caucus had started, Romney was already on the attack against McCain in NH. Just like he attacked Huckster in IA, he went on total offensive in NH against McCain. Huckster's victory ahead of Romney really leveled out the playing field. And Romney is doing all the heavy work for us, spending millions digging up the dirt on McCain, that managed to get his head out of the dumpster just high enough to take a breath. Romney is pushing it right back down.
Just look at IA, the 3rd place was a virtual tie between thompson/mccain/paul. IA 5th place won't generate the media-buzz that most of us here were hoping for, but we just proved that we can win the grand prize. We took 10% heavy pro-bush/evangelical vote (wow!), 29% of independents and 54% of the anti-bush republicans.
I would be somewhat discouraged if we were a far distant 5th, but we're virtually tied for 3rd place. Romney lost his thunder, and is doing all the heavy workload for our benefit.
That is why just for today, I say "Go Romney Go!!"
