I walked away from the computer after Jefferson Co. reported and I could have sworn RP was at 11,4XX (something) votes and right at 10% with 93% reporting. I just looked again and he is now 9.98% and 11,216 votes with 93% reporting.

Did anyone else notice that or am I mistaken? Did anyone else see 11,4XX total votes at some point?

EDIT: It just changed to 9.99% and 11,598. Still, did anyone see that 11,4XX total? On the Politico page btw.

Holy shit! I hope to see you do something good with them. I bet RP will come in right under 10% and then ABC will try to exclude him from the NH debate. That 9.99% crap just seems way too convenient to me.

I noticed something similar, but don't have proof to back it up. Though Fred coming in third is suspicious enough.. perahps some people want a president that sleeps for four years? That's one way to get a little freedom I suppose. ;)

Regarding what I have, I see

Today, January 04, 2008, 1:08:34 AM
11,216

and
Today, January 04, 2008, 1:12:54 AM
11,598

so I do not see what you refer to.

However, there was plenty of other wierd things going on, and of course calling it "9.99%" is just nonsense.

Check when I posted the thread originally. There was a point where it was at 11,4XX (probably around 12:50am) but then dropped down to 11,216, then went back up to the 11,598 number. Ron Paul lost votes with more precincts reporting. Im glad others saw that.

9.99% doesn't qualify for matching funds.

Dear Iowa,

Who do we have to blow to get a 10.0?
