This election year, we have gathered to support a candidate by Ron Paul. The enthusiasm is very heartening, but it not enough. Of the general patrioticness, I have failed to see a very important factor. The ones who let this happen.
We fail to remember who the ones are who failed to stop President Bush, and let our liberties be taken away. The Congress. Ron Paul is not enough to fix things, and in the congress we have now, it would not be surprising if he even got very little accomplished. Do not get me wrong, I love his message, and believe in it. But it simply is not enough.
Our congress and senate have been passing bills like the Patriot Act, the Federal Reserve act, they have failed to end the war, and failed to cut spending. They have failed at every possible opportunity to preserve this country, and this we cannot let stand. Research your representative, and research the people actually running. Gather support for them just as we do for Ron Paul, and start letting them know if they do not represent us, end the war, end this runaway spending, they will no longer have a job.
Many few of us realize that in our system of checks and balances, we are the greatest check and balance. It is our job to ensure they are running things legally, and morally, etc. We have not done that for many years now, and the things that threatened us now us our fault, the citizens for letting it happen. We must NOT continue to let this happen. We must start by replacing every single corrupt senator, every corrupt representative. We must make it known we ARE watching them, and the slightest slip on their part will gaurentee their career in politics are over.
The time to start is now, and we must not falter in this, or we will fail. We will die hungry and homeless. It's happening now, our currency is dying, foreign nations are buying our economy, and our country. Our borders are washing away at a rapid rate. Our voices are not being heard. It is time to educate our fellow man and stop ignoring them. Why do you think they advertise diversity, instead of unity? How many of your neighbors do you associate with? That is why we are not heard anymore, we are no longer communities, united by cause, but individuals struggling to survive. Our apathy must shed and we must act now.

Do not give up, fight for your freedom. Working within the constitutional system can work, and does work.
