Oh, that explains it, it was before they started their agenda of Ron Paul-bashing.... interesting how their views about this man changed since he announced his presidential bid.

Yes, I noticed it too, but maybe I should have pointed out, I found this around 4:00 a.m. this morning (PST time) off of Google's news search. In case you aren't aware, Google groups similar articles and you can click view all. Even with it's date, this article was 4th under the "view all" of the first group.

The author of the article, Radley Balko, is an editor at reason magazine - reason.com

Radley has done fantastic research exposing the violence and corruption that result from the War On Drugs, he's definitely worth further reading.
