Look at what HUckabee and Romney and Hillary did. They KNOW people will say they support you but unless you BUS them in on the day and BUY their votes the other side will win. It's just using the STRATEGY TO WIN.

It's useless digging, youtubing etc if we do not use the bag of "DIRTY TRICKS" to win. And there is NO POINT IN LOSING. So we need to use these tricks :-

1) CHANGE our message to pander to the right targeted segments of the population
2) BUY corporate interest groups with under the table DEALS (a la Clinton)
3) DON'T ROCK THE BOAT by proposing way out alienating ideas
4) BUS in and BUY voter support with PIZZA on the polling day
5) ORGANISE your campaign like a MILITARY MACHINE
.. etc etc
what other DIRTY TRICKS do you see happening.

LIST THEM ALL

Regrettably, winning in politics is not about the right ideas. It's about pandering to the various existing segments of the population so as it finagle your oway into office, all the while looking like a decent guy.

Huckabee won in a midwestern conservative state because he milked the Jesus angle for all its worth. RP grassroots should have done the very same. An average John Q. RepublicanVoter don't give two flying shits about Federal reserve or Gold standard. He wants to "nuke them towels" because his local pastor and 700 Club said so.

This clearly shows the difference between a fine tuned PR machines and amateur grassroots some of which never voted for whatever reason.

Make smear ads that alienate a candidates main base from him (e.g. Huckabee and the "Christian right"), and lead them to RP (e.g. Christian Right: show RP married to same woman, etc)

You raise some important points here. Ron Paul is just plain too honest. He says what he feels is best, almost like your good family doctor would do. That's what I like about him. But at the same time, he offers too many "deal breakers" for potential supporters. One person doesn't like his immigration stand, one doesn't like his closing foreign bases, etc, etc.

The typical politician says virtually nothing and stands for virtually nothing. So nobody gets offended. Rather, they sell image.

I would bet that if Ron Paul were 45 yrs old and had a popular presence in hollywood, yet offered no clear stands on issues, he would do better than 10%. Look at Jessie Ventura and Arnold of CA.

It is sickening.

1) Have an official campaign with competent people.

2) Hire a professional advertising agency that produces compelling ads.

3) Hire a PR agency that gets good air time in MSM, and doesn't take 3 month to accept a full hour with Glen Beck.

4) Use 20 million dollars to create a campaign WORTH 20 million.

There is some legitimacy to this complaint. We need to kick this campaign into high gear!

Only way to win is with "dirty tricks"

HOGWASH!

People still do not know who Ron Paul is. We need more signs. A LOT MORE SIGNS. And we need to stop looking like disgruntled democrats trying to appeal to republicans. All the "Bush Lied" rhetoric, pictures of dead children in youtube vids trying make the war look dirty(thats what democrats have been doing for 4 years now) etc... I made a thread on the topic (do you quack like a duck?) --- but there were not many interested in the concept ---

I've been constantly battling that image on gun forums that I hang out on. They call Ron Paul a socialist, a commie, democrat in sheeps clothing, all of the above. Yes, it is all emotions, but its up to us to not give them the ammo. Don't run around looking like an anti-war protesting beatnik while trying to sell Ron Paul.

We must look and act like Republicans(not democrats), but preach non-inventionism, the Constitution, small government, no IRS, pro-second etc.

Its all about marketing. And Image.
