The hardest part of this, after figuring out what to write was cutting the stencil.
I printed on regular paper with the Stencil font (in light gray to save ink) then taped it all together and cut it out. Cutting took about two hours.
Total cost, $15 for a black tire cover and $1 for a can of white spray paint.

I think that's a little more visible than the bumper sticker that was on the Jeep.

Great work and effective. This is an idea that could be further refined by others...different colors for lettering, various messages, and web links.

I think your slogan is excellent btw

Well today was the first full day of driving around with my new Ron Paul tire cover on.
I was doing some repairs to a homeowners garage as a side job, and another construction worker who was installing floors commented as I was leaving that he liked the tire cover, I assumed that he was already a Ron Paul supporter, but he said he'd never heard of him and that he doesn't vote and just liked the cover.
I gave him a couple of the 'slim jim' handouts which I keep in the Jeep, and told him that Ron Paul is one of the few guys out there worth voting for, and that he was coming to Greenville this weekend, He seemed intrigued.

Driving home, I see someone in my rearview mirror taking a picture of my Jeep with their camera phone!

Later I see a look from an older gentleman in a Pickup that was indescribable as he passed me, one of total bewilderment. As he passed I noticed a W sticker surrounded by American flags on his rear window. Priceless.

So, if you have some unused real estate on the back of your vehicle, I'd recomend you do something similar. I really think the raw, big, homemade look is more effective than slick graphics for showing grassroots support.

Anyways, today over 2500 folks who might have never heard of Ron Paul got to see a moving message about him, and every day more will be exposed.

Well worth the $16 price tag and the time and wrist cramps spent on the stencil.

"Ron Paul cured my apathy" is in my back window. I loved that line when I saw it in A New Hope so I had to do it.

What a great idea! How many 4wd vehicles are there? Classy.

Bump for 2012. My Jeep is gone, but I'll be doing something to my truck soon.

(wow, I feel like a Collins)
