Hey, we in the Orlando Ron Paul meetup group have been making and handing out "mini-CDs" with Ron Paul information. They have a pretty good novelty factor since most people don't see the mini-CD's, and you can attach them to slim jims when handing them out.

Our mini-CDs contain several YouTube videos that we have transcribed into a permanent format and placed on the CD, along with some audio from RonPaulAudios.com. We also placed a Florida voter registration pdf of the disc (since Florida requires a Republican registration to vote for Ron Paul).

For more information on how you can create these CDs yourself for your group for a net cost of about 50 cents each, go to the Orlando Meetup group's file section:

I think this is a great idea since these mini Cd's are pocketable but they still almost cost as much as a DVD $.28

Well, that link has an even cheaper price than we knew about... thanks!!

We like the form factor for novelty reasons. People think they are "cool" because they are not used to seeing them. I think the novelty factor might be worth the extra price.

My Epson printer can print mini cd's. Image of course will be a little smaller. With good eyes or glasses it can be read. Tried to make it a mini cd and a business card.

Perhaps a design with less text and bigger fonts? The contents of the cd should cover all those points... Sometimes less is more? or whatever that means..

You could be very right about that. My thought was the big text could be enough to look at the cd. But if they where on the edge of the fence the additional text might make them want to see more. I'm willing to learn.

IMO, people are more likely to read fewer words than more words. Mini-cds are really small... If I were doing it.. it would have "Ron Paul for President" and "ronpaul2008.com" on the front of the cd. and maybe an indicator about what is inside like "Information Package"

If you follow my link above:

You can see a sheet of labels that I made. They don't have much in the way of text, just designed to catch the eye.
