What can I do to help Ron Paul win the nomination here in Maryland?

I'm talking to everyone I know, putting up youtube videos, donating money but that's only going to help him after he gets into the GENERAL election.

I've never been so jealous of people who live in Iowa, of all places.

Me too in VA. I couldn't sleep last night thinking about what is going to happen. I've been into this thing since he formed an exploratory committee... not knowing what is going to happen is killing me. I really hope that our brothers and sisters in Iowa turn out and bring their friends and families.

As for what you can do...
You can try to become a delegate to the National Convention from MD... its mostly a democratic state, so it should be easier to become one there...

Yes! How do we go about becoming a delegate to the national convention?

A good way to get involved is by distributing slim jims door-to-door in your neighborhood. You can get 1000 slim jims for $30 at the campaign website:

We have a full slate of delegates in Maryland already.

What we are working on now is canvassing and phone banking and could use all the help that we can get.

If you want to help, join the meetup group in your area. Maryland has a strong Ron Paul grassroots base and we are doing a lot to spread the message here but the more the merrier as they say.

I'm in Mississipppi and after 12:00 P.M. I'll start calling Iowans that I wrote letters to earlier. If you really want something to do just pull up random Iowan's from the phone book and call 'em up.

That sounds kinda creepy. Perhaps you should coordinate this with the campaign. There was a thread on here that was started by LandonCook (who is working with the campaign) about getting volunteers to help finish up with their calling lists.

Yeah, I think we're up to the letter "f" in the phonebook, so start with the "H"s.

I already checked into it. Bad news is it's too late, good news is, we have filled delegates and alternates for each district! I am in MD too.. join a meetup, I belong to two of them.

I live in Maryland. There is something you can do, and it's crucial. Maryland law was changed. 17 year olds who will be 18 on or before the general election (November) can vote in the primary, as long as they're registered as Republicans by January 22nd. This was a very welcome change for me, because I'm 17. The government is not promoting this, so I suggest spreading the word.

A couple of other things about Maryland.

While affiliation change in voter registration is generally closed, those who have moved since the last general election (2006) can still change affiliation up to Jan 22.

Being near DC, there are many Ron Paul activities in and around the Capitol. You can always volunteer at Campaign HQ. I've done this, it is very interesting.

Check out www.marylandforronpaul.com (http://www.marylandforronpaul.com). You will find there all the Ron Paul delegates and congressional candidates running across the state. There is a boatload of them (including me). You can contact most of these people who generally have a good idea of what is going on in their area.

Jay Roberts

Get some signs and stand next to a busy road for 30-60 minutes in the morning and evening. Every little bit helps!

Important! Ron Paul Precinct leaders needed.

(And this is a state that really needs watching too.)
