View Full Version : Why Support Ron Paul? Here's the Simple Answer.

There's a guy in my office (Vietnam Vet) who dislikes the war and the erosion of our civil liberties. He has conservative values but says he will mostly likely vote democrat because of his opinion on the war.

I told him to vote for Ron Paul and he said he didn't think RP would have a shot. I said to him:

Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate out of both parties that is (and always has been) against the war AND will not bankrupt the country with European style socialized healthcare and higher taxes.

He has a few income properties and lots of stocks/mutual funds. So I asked him:

You're against the war, great. But do you really want to vote for someone who makes no qualms about doubling your capital gains tax rate?

This really got his wheels turning....

Remember, being against anti-constitutional pre-emptive wars doesn't automatically make you a bleeding heart liberal.
