But the guy fails to point out that you have to hang out after the votes to vote for delegates.

Anyway, it is a slightly complicated process than a straight primary. But I'll accept it Ron Paul wins it :)

in the first round of voting, the candidates who do not reach 15% of the vote are automatically out, and then the people who voted for them re-vote for one of the candidates who reached that threshold, and then those results are what are reported.

however, if i understand it correctly, that is just for the democrats. the republicans is a straight vote, and all candidates reported regardless of their percentage. a more fair system. pretty much like primary voting, but you just listen to speeches about the candidates and vote more informally.

Yes, that system of "elimination" is only on the Democrat side. For the Republicans, every vote towards every candidate will count.
