Main reason: Oil hit 100$, and the stock market fell 200 points. All of a sudden, people realize that the US economy isn't doing so well, especially with the war in Iraq, which is supposed to protect our interests. Then they realize that the market is truly going down, and that Bush's debt and the falling value of the dollar is coming to a reckoning. And then they realize that they themselves might be out of cash soon, even the huge rich corporations and business people. And so they now find this old guy who's been ignored for nearly a whole year, and realize, WOW, this guy is right. I don't wanna lose all my money!
