30 isn't that cold. It could have been a lot worse if the cold wave had been one day slower.

I'm from MA though =)

That's not very cold. It's 19 degrees where I'm at in Kansas right now. Iowans are likely used to it being colder.

It was negative 5 today where I come from. ;) I tell you, by January a Minnesotan's blood is like anti-freeze with the consistency of motor oil.

I was in Iowa yesterday and it was in the single digits. That kind of cold takes your breath away and rips your skin off when a flurry of snow drifts into your face!

28 is not bad.

pretty cold to me, but from what i've heard, it's no big deal to iowa/iowans.

Thats actually pretty normal conditions for this time of the year. I'm from Wisconsin and we are so used to the cold, but if it had some nasty wind chill and some snow we'd be in business

In Iowa it needs to be 15 or below with wind for it to be a factor. 26 degrees at 6 PM is a nonfactor.

Last night I was chipping ice out of the water troughs in 17 degree weather in MO.....trust me, it won't phase the small town and rural folks one iota.

Des Moines and other urban areas with more transplants and indoor types might be a different story.

True, the wind chill will definitely play a part in Iowa.

HAHAHAHA, 28 degrees.

It's 21 outside right now, and that's pretty good. I doubt any Iowa folks will sneeze at anything above 20 degrees!

OK so tonight I did a sign wave with my husband, mom, dad and one other meetup member. I live in Florida and it was COLD I had gloves, a scarf, a sweatshirt and a leather jacket on and froze my butt off. All I have to say is much respect goes to those canvassing in NH and Iowa. My blood has thinned by my passion for Ron Paul has not. I joked that I would snow shoe to the polls if needed to vote for Ron Paul. Tonight if felt like that might be a possiblilty.

We had a lot of beeps and thumbs up. "He's catching on"

You're from the South -- you don't know cold. 30 degrees in Iowa is pretty normal. Not that cold.

28-30 is a nice temperature. I'm in Las Vegas and we were in the 20s just a few days ago...

I'm sure it will be a good turnout in Iowa tomorrow...

This is definitely an advantage for us. Supporters of RP are passionate and going to vote, no matter what. But can you say the same for other candidates? I think not.

Its actually going to be warm in Iowa at 25 degrees. I don't consider it cold until there is a -20 windchill or worse.

Thats my point. The wind chill is going to be rough. At 6pm it will feel like 11 dgrs...

The reason that northerners say 'eh' is that soundwaves freeze and fall to the ground before they hit your ear.

That ain't bad at all. It's only 9 degrees in TN today. 22 is like a winter breeze for the North.

-50 with -70 windchill is cold. Anything over 20 is a heat wave. No way anything above -10 is stopping anyone.

Pftt. The nights over here where I live (a city in the central valley of California, almost technically a desert) are like 30 degrees. That's nothing. Plus, Iowans are used to that weather. I think you guys have blown the weather issue way out of proportion.
