Serpis is from Spain and La Bleue is from Switzerland. The your absinthe aint from Spain, France, Germany, or Switzerland, then its crap (no offense).

The Serpis is crazy cause its RED, but still a very good quality. :cool:

The only legal absinthe in the US is absinthe without any thujone. So its the equivalent of O'Douls in that it no longer posesses that special ingredient.

If you want to have REAL absinthe in the US, you either have to change the law to allow thujone again just or break the law.

You can now get absinthe legally in the US, but it has a lower amount of thujone in it. It just became available in MN last week.

"lower" = "negligible"

Uh, just as a heads up the whole thujone, green fairy, hallucination thing is bogus. The banning of absinthe in various countries is the same as the banning of marijuana in this one: sensationalism and misinformation. The hype is just that... hype. Absinthe is simply a very high-proof, tasty alcohol.

I'll stick with Gekkeikan Plum Wine (http://www.gekkeikan.co.jp/english/products/plumwine.html) - the only plum wine worth drinking.
