Yes, they did this before the original press release came out. Apparently Fox said "fine" and they've been going back and forth about it since.

I feel MUCH better about the NH GOP now!

However, if Ron Paul is excluded we need to hold the NH GOP to their word!

They made the threat days ago and haven't actually pulled yet as I understand it but they are going to bat. We have been saying this. We weren't really at liberty to disclose the details but if Ron said it then it's out there.

This is awesome!

If Ron Paul is INCLUDED in the debate he will obviously get a boost from the HOUR AND A HALF of PRIME TIME!

If Ron Paul is EXCLUDED the NH GOP will DROP THEIR SUPPORT and this will draw significant media attention!

Man, I wish the campaign would hire a kick ass PR firm and make hay with this exclusion BS. If done right, this could do wonders for our campaign.

I heard it on the Situation Room. Is this really true? Has the NH GOP really said that they will withdraw support if Fox doesn't include Ron Paul?

Wow! If this is true, the NH GOP is just awesome! If all of those GOP candidates were as principled, they too would withdraw from the forum. They may claim to be carrying on the Ronald Reagan legacy, but their actions show otherwise. What a bunch of phonies!

"I paid for this microphone!" There was Ronald Reagan trying to include all of the candidates, while Bush sat there like a creepy little bump on a log.

Dr. Paul is very very smart to have said this on the CNN show. This now puts the pressure on the NH GOP to uphold their word, and makes Fox look terribly bad.

I wish you would have told us!

We said they were going to bat. People didn't believe us. That's as much as we was indicated they wanted said. "Not our project, not our rules".

All I really know is that they told them they'd pull support, Fox said "fine", and they've continued negotiating.

I have been saying on my meetups all week: If Fox decides they want to keep us out (because it's NH, or too close, or because the roundtable format scares them) then they are going to be willing to lose money on it. They know the stakes, they know a Ron Paul win represents something much worse to them than losing some sponsors or support. They're playing for keeps here.

So yell at them if you must, and yeah they'll notice. But really stopping them most likely means going on and winning without their blessing or support, and any time spent yelling at them is time lost reaching voters, and we don't get that back.

I really think we can get into the debate. But if we can get the NH GOP to drop their support of the debate I think we can use that as a last minute tool to win NH!
