Here are a couple of polls on AOL:

h ttp://news.aol.com/elections/story/_a/candidates-woo-crucial-voters-in-iowa/20080101192009990001

h ttp://news.aol.com/political-machine/2007/12/21/straw-poll-dec-21-jan-4/

We're doing great in the second one other than the southern states and Iowa, but in the first poll Paul is not even listed! So lets make "Other" win and show them they left someone important out!

And isn't it about time we have a subforum or sticky or something for polls???:rolleyes:

I am not a conspiracy theorist, but these AOL polls are as rigged as polls can be.

Na this poll was on since yesterday evening, and its basically the same other than Other moving up and down from 2nd to last a good bit. The other people stay in their same positions though. If everyone on the forum here would go vote in this poll, Other would win it.

Btw, your Ron Paul Rising youtube is awesome.

But I guess they might rig it by adding or taking away votes or allowing spam, who knows.

Thanks.

I'm sorry; I was confused; I found that I read a poll with the question "Who will win the GOP-nomination?" (link (http://news.aol.com/elections/story/_a/candidates-step-up-attacks-in-iowa/20071230212509990001))

You do know how it works right?

This is the original URL of a typical AOL-poll:
http://webcenter.polls.aol.com/modular.jsp?template=1499&resType=7&view=129685&pollId=129786

Then change the template to 1 and the view the page source.

Then you will see this:

Standard XML. Now it gets interesting, because allVotes = baseVote + authVote +nonAuthVote.

Now in every AOL poll so far, Ron Paul leads the "nonAuthVote"-table with around 35%, while far behind in the authVote table... Interesting isn't it? AOL-poll uses two source-tables in which one Ron Paul is winning with around 35% and in one he's around 10%.

You explain me please.

That is kind of interesting. I have no clue how that stuff works though. I don't even know how to edit videos on a computer decently for making youtube videos or anything lol.
