Craig_R
01-02-2008, 12:52 PM
only heard about 30 seconds of paul being on. Ed just said, "what if the polls are wrong?, what if Ron Paul wins on the republican side."

I think ed knows the media bias

It was just said that the Fox affiliate in Houston called Fox headquarters to ask them about the exclusion of Ron Paul from the forum and did not get a call back!

I called in and got on quickly...keep dialing!

Ron LOL
01-02-2008, 12:54 PM
Ha! I thought this host didn't like RP? He's bashing Fox News right now pretty hard. "He says he's disqualified because of the message. There's a story there!"

It gived me chills hearing pro-Ron Paul people calling in from Iowa.

That was me :)

BTW, they didn't screen at all, which I thought was very principled of them. They appear to let anyone speak their mind on a first come, first served basis.

Oh FFS, someone needs to call in to discuss his medicare position. The host obviously didn't know it, and now his audience probably thinks RP is going to throw people out in the street.

Someone better call in NOW. Did you hear what the caller said about social security. She was worried that Paul would do away with it for her mother. The host just said that he agreed with Ron's constitutional views, but some of his ideas were too far out and he didn't support him.

Someone needs to call and straighten out this Social Security thing.

hellah10
01-02-2008, 01:02 PM

the way the democratic caucus works there is ridiculous. If your candidate doesn't get 15%, you have to switch your vote to one of the top candidates. So you'll have all the Hillary and Obama supporters swarming all over everyone.

niall
01-02-2008, 01:14 PM
I'm on hold now...I'll correct them on the social security issue.

01-02-2008, 01:27 PM
um, maybe we should try calling in? seems to only be taking critical calls from what i'm hearing. someone needs to school him on the issues royally, because he's going on 30 second sound bites to make judgement calls.

I will never understand why the same people who always complain about the problems in government are the same people who want the government involved in our health care.

For those who are for socialized medicine, I say this: if your doctor's office is having financial problems and is unable to stay in business, you simply go down the street to his competitor. What happens when the government runs into financial problems while being in control of health care and is unable to meet your needs? Then what do you do?

Eric21ND

He's ignorant concerning Ron Paul though....sad.

That was me again :) I know, he just talked about something that he wanted to talk about, completely ignoring or missing the point I was making. Hopefully it connected with some listeners.

I coined a term on that call that I really like -- "Stealing from Seniors" regarding the inflation tax. We should talk about that more. Good way to counter objections regarding Ron's SS policy.

Good work. It's a shame that the point was completely lost on the host. It sounded like he honest to goodness just did not understand what you said.

Could be. It's really a shame that a fairly well-educated journalist would not understand the inflation tax, but I guess I'm not surprised. Let's keep driving that message home...inflation/central banking is really at the root of most of the ills facing our country.

niall you just educated that guy.

Most Journalists "dont get it". They dont understand it, they should research it and at least be able to have an educated debate. We are in the "information age" after all.

If This guy did get it he would be able to understand where RonPaul is coming from. Most Radio hosts are the fruit on the ground below the tree.
